Hello from the Palmetto Pals! Please allow us to introduce ourselves, we are James (Jim) & Carla Jean Miller. We joined the Pals in 2017 and became Vice President and Treasurer respectively in 2019. Due to the recent departure of Steve & Darcy Martin, we have assumed their roles, Jim as President and me as the Secretary/Treasurer. We will miss them, but I know that we will be well tutored and keep in touch. 

We have been RVing for ten years overall, and with our Newmar since 2016. Jim & I recently celebrated our 42nd anniversary and have six children, 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Jim retired from the U.S. Army after 30 years and then did 22 years as a JROTC instructor. Carla retired from the Department of Defense. Jim had his CDL license and told me that this RV was an equal opportunity RV, and I would be getting my class F license. We trained at the testing site in Irmo, South Carolina and I passed everything on the first time. Jim’s hobby is his physical fitness and Carla likes to read and do crafts.

As summer begins and the pandemic slowly releases everyone to be able to travel once again, we hope and pray that everyone is ready to hit the road. We were unable to attend the Carolinas State Rally due to mechanical problems. As this is written we will be seeing you at the International Rally in Lewisburg, West Virginia. 

Travel plans beyond the rally in Lewisburg include the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum, a tractor pull event, the Field of Dreams movie site, Buddy Holly memorial, the Black Hills, Medora, North Dakota then Williston, North Dakota for some family time. Jim is also looking into the experience of harvesting the sugar beets in the Red River Valley. From there it will be time to come home to see the grandkids.
