The 35th International Rally in Lewisburg, West Virginia has been held and it was a great success. Thank you to all of the Newmar employees, NKK employees, officers and volunteers for a job well done.
Georgia was number 9 in the top 10 states with coaches at the International Rally. The PSK were represented by 11 coaches and 3 new member-coaches at the International Rally in Lewisburg, West Virginia. We welcome new members that joined during the International Rally, George (Mike) & Linda Underwood from Byron, Georgia, Joe & Debbie Clough from Kingland, Georgia, and Tom & Elaine Mauldin from Monticello, Georgia. Scott & Sharon Ogburn from Ball Ground, Georgia are also new members, but did not attend the International Rally.
Jim Spaulding from Washington, but now living in Foley, Alabama, and a member of the Peach State Krackers has had some health issues and has sold his coach. He will not be doing anymore traveling. Please remember Jim in your thoughts and prayers.
We are now back at home in Florida and wishing for some of those cooler Virginia temps. While staying in Galax, Virginia before the International Rally, we did not have any hot days compared to the temps they were having in Florida. In fact, it did not get warm enough for this southern girl to even go swimming. The water temps need to be around 85 to be warm enough for me to swim in the pool. I now understand why so many Florida residents travel north during the summer. We have lived in the south all our lives, but it seems like the summer temps are hotter than what they used to be, or is it because we have gotten older?
The Region Five Rally to be held in Dillard, GA October 12-17 is full, but if you are interested in attending call Gary Smith, Region Five Director and ask to be put on the waiting list. There are always cancellations and you might be able to get in. October is a wonderful time to be in the North Georgia mountains to see the leaves change their color.
