Florida Sea Turtles – President
Spring is here which means no more frost and summer heat is around the corner. We Sea Turtles are planning our summer trips. Many will leave the heat and head north first of June and return in the fall. Some of us are called Un-Snow Birds.
We just finished the 20th Anniversary Sea Turtles Rally held at the Oak Alley RV Resort in Webster, Florida. We had 33 rigs attend which is the largest Sea Turtles Rally. A great time was enjoyed by all. Thanks to the great support from Independence RV and North Trail RV. We are truly blessed to have wonderful local dealerships.
The Sea Turtles host four rallies a year. This year a couple was awarded the bar for Hosting 5 Rallies in the same chapter. Brian & Nancy Howard completed their 5th rally in February 2020, and we finally got our act together and got them their reward. We want to thank Greg & Margie Harrop for presenting this reward to the Howards at the March Rally. We all want to thank Brian & Nancy for their outstanding support to the Sea Turtles.
As we head into summer, we have planned a pre-rally for the Newmar International Rally at Rock Springs, Wyoming. We have 17 coaches registered to attend the caravan. We will camp at the Red Desert Rose RV Park in Rawlins, Wyoming only 90 miles east of Rock Springs. The Sea Turtles normally gather together so we get parked close to each other. We are truly social creatures. Looking forward to having a great time with many NKK friends from around the country.
Our winter rallies are getting defined and scheduled. The November Rally will be at The Ranch at Arcadia Palms in Arcadia, Florida from Nov 13-16. The December Rally will be at Creekside RV Resort in Punta Gorda, Florida. We have rally hosts for both February and March, but the details are still being worked on. Keep an eye on the NKK website to find all the details of our upcoming rallies.
As you travel this summer remember there are many chapter rallies around the country. Check the NKK Calendar for any events along your route. You will be delighted to enjoy a few days with new and old friends. Have a safe and healthy journey.
