Florida Sea Turtles – President

The November Rally at Road Runner RV Resort in Ft. Pearce, Florida was attended by 16 coaches. One of the events was attending The National Navy SEAL Museum. At the annual meeting the Sea Turtles voted in new officers: Bill Berg, President; Larry Stewart, Vice-President; Debbie Smith, Treasurer; Patricia Leiss, Secretary. The membership also voted to donate $150 to Southeastern Guide Dogs and $150 to Endangered Animal Rescue.

The Central Florida Newmar Owners had their first Luncheon at the Golden Corral in Lakeland, Florida. The luncheons are scheduled for the 2nd Wednesday of each month, starting in November through March and open to all Newmar Owners. Refer to NKK website for times and luncheon special price.

The December Rally was held December 9-12 at a new campground in Auburndale, Florida called Cabana Club RV Resort. We had 28 coaches, some as far away as New England who winter in Florida. The Sea Turtles are so popular we either attend out of state rallies or receive out of state attendees. For our activities, we wandered around Celebration to view the Christmas lights.

The February Rally will be held February 24-27 at the Southern Palms Resort in Eustis, Florida. The March Rally will be at the Oak Alley RV Resort in Webster, Florida. This will be the Sea Turtle 20th Anniversary Rally. Scheduled to have 30 attending Newmar coaches.

The International Rally will be attended by many Florida Sea Turtles. We usually caravan in as a group, and this year is not any different. We are scheduled to camp together in Rawlings, Wyoming and drive in together. We are planning to have about 20 coaches going in together.
