The Manatees rallied at the new Oak Alley RV Resort in Webster, Florida in February, where we thoroughly enjoyed the new facilities. About 12 people showed up for the Introduction to Pickleball, and Geoff Baker assisted a local Instructor to get the “newbies” started. A group also visited the Wild Horse Rescue as well as the renowned Webster Flea-Market. “Manatee Thanks” to our great rally hosts, Tom & Barbara Palmer and Gary & Terry Hartley. As promised, Gary & Terry received their custom mirror cover for hosting, while Tom & Barbara got theirs at a previous rally!

Our March Rally was held at The Clerbrook Golf & RV Resort where we got started with a friendly golf outing at their course. Greg Harrop and Anne Kuhns took top honors… now there’s a surprise! Our hosts, Dave Shank & Lynn Barley, worked with our Past Presidents, Bill & Rosemary Lumsden, to set up an enjoyable itinerary in the local area, including a tour at nearby Lakeridge Winery!

Unfortunately, the Boondockers Rally that we had planned for April was cancelled due to insufficient registrations. We hope to revisit interest in this rally again in the future.

There’s no better way to make new friends than to jump in and volunteer at rallies. We encourage all new members to let us know if you are willing to assist, and we will share the available opportunities with you, or you can create your own!
