The Manatees got off to a great start this fall with our Rally at Pecan Park RV Resort in Jacksonville, Florida. Our Rally Hosts, Jim & Peggy Meadows and Joe & Debbie Clough, were the second hosts to receive their custom mirror covers sporting our beloved Manatees as a token of our appreciation for all of their hard work. The rally was a spectacular success, from meals to our sunset cruise, with a number of our newer members in attendance. We held our Chapter Annual Meeting and elected a new Vice President, Jim Meadows. Debbie Clough also stepped up to take over our Chapter “Sunshine” activities. Thanks to Barbara & Tom Palmer, and Lynn Fryer, who are stepping down to focus on their Fulltimers Chapter responsibilities.

We are looking forward to getting back in the swing of things with the Tampa Super Show, always a Newmar Kountry Klub favorite. We will have a chance to hang out with our fellow Newmar chapters and share our adventures, not to mention seeing what the RV Industry has been up to.

We recently attended the Central Florida NKK Luncheon which has been adopted by the Sea Turtles, and moved to the Golden Corral in Lakeland, Florida. This is a new location, so we are hoping that you will find us all there for lunch.

The Manatees have rallies scheduled at Oak Alley RV Resort in Webster, Florida, February 20-23. We will be in Clerbrook Golf & RV Resort in Clermont, Florida, March 17-20. We will be putting together a Boondockers Rally in Ft. White, Florida, April 7-12. If you would like to find out more about this, email me and I will contact you to follow up.

There’s no better way to make new friends than to jump in and volunteer at rallies. We encourage all new members to let us know if you are willing to assist and we will share the available opportunities with you.
