With the rebirth of our chapter rally season, we hope and pray this Konnnection article finds you all well. We have a few of our members going through some tough times medically and Margie & I are sending our love, light and prayers for you all. We have hope that we can somehow “recover” and “return to normalcy” to keep us all going strong.
We want to thank all our Klub Chapter Officers, Hosts, and Co-Hosts who have volunteered this year. Without your participation our Klub members would not have great rallies to attend.
Margie & I have had the pleasure to “meet and greet” new members of Newmar Kountry Klub during our travels while attending some rallies.
We have been receiving emails from our members concerning new campgrounds that are popping up here in Florida and where rallies can be held. So, if you are out there and find a great campground for a rally don’t hesitate to notify your Chapter Officers and State Directors. So, keep them coming.
NKK Members don’t forget to get on the Newmar Kountry Klub site and check out the Klub Calendar, things are changing every day. And don’t forget to check out the Special Events. If you see a rally or special event y’all would like to attend don’t hesitate, register right away. If something pops up that y’all cannot attend call the rally host right away, there usually is a standby list and those folks would love to attend.
Our Florida State Rally went off without any hitches. Yea right, Mother Nature showed herself while we were under the covered picnic area for some of our meals. We had some chilly weather and she also threw in some winds and heavy rain. A few of our members had to move to other sites because of some flooding in their campsites. Our caterer “Donna” worked through all this and provided us with some great meals. We even asked Mother Nature to open up the skies for our Pirate Cruise and she was kind enough to allow that to happen. Our campground hosts were very gracious to us and opened up the recreation hall for us during these times of COVID. We had a great time visiting the “Man in the Sea Museum”, where we saw how the deep, deep dive men and teams worked under water. We even got in some games during the evening and of course some First Timers won the money. Margie & I also delivered our “goodbye” Cinnamon Buns to everyone as they were leaving in the wind and rain. All in all we think everyone had a great time.
Margie & I have attended the Tri State Rally in Vidalia, Louisiana and the Tennessee Rally in Crossville, Tennessee. Jim & Barb Watson and Phil & Charlene Budd, respectively put on great rallies. We took in some old southern homes, museums, Frogmore Cotton Gin Plantation, Plays, Muddy Pond Country Stores, and many touring spots in the beautiful Tennessee mountains.
As this is written we are taking in Dollywood and visiting with some friends along the way to the International Rally. Margie & I want to say that we sure do miss y’all and hope to see everyone again during our travels and the International Rally in West Virginia.
