Patience is a virtue. The saying is defined as the ability to wait for something without frustration. Where did this saying come from? The first known recording of this expression is in a narrative poem believed to have been written by William Langland between 1360 and 1387.
Well we have all had to have our patience over the last three months and will probably need to continue the practice for a while yet. Patience to line up to get our groceries, patience to get our prescriptions, patience to wait for doctor, dentist and hair appointments. The list goes on.
While we have all had our patience tested, we are on the right track to controlling the virus spread and this is good news for us who like to travel. We are certainly missing getting out and the freedom to go and do as we like. As there have been travel restrictions even between provinces, it gives us the opportunity to see our own provinces. Hopefully some of you have been able to do that.
We continue to look forward to the day when the border is open and the travel restrictions are lifted. For the Kountry Klub, I hope it means we can look at attending some of the late fall and early winter activities for the snowbirds. We usually say it is a long winter here, but this year it has been a long summer.
One thing we can look forward to is the International Rally in 2021, taking place in Lewisburg, West Virginia, from July 17-24. This is a great location and I sure hope you have it marked in your calendar of events.
Hope all are continuing to be well as Glen and I are. We will surely celebrate when we can be together again.
Until next time…
