Welcome to summer and hopefully the promise of better things to come for everyone. We trust that all have weathered the terrible pandemic that arrived earlier in the year.
Glen and I have been fine and have not suffered any ill-effects. I have been fortunate enough to continue working as I am considered part of an essential business, being a pharmacy. Of course, farming has continued and crops are going in the ground. As we are home this summer, our garden will be full.
As we struggle to remain apart from our families, this includes our Newmar family. As members since 1992, Glen and I have and currently enjoy our extended family. It has been difficult to have not had the pleasure of attending our Muskoka Ramblers and Aurum Kountry Travelers spring outings. These are staples in our diet of Newmar functions for our region. I am sure most of our members have the same thoughts.
This does give us an opportunity to reach out to our members in some other way. I am sure most of us have current membership lists from our Chapter officers which would include contact information. Why not send out some emails, asking how each of us are doing and what we are doing. Is there someone struggling that you can help? These are all things we can do to keep in touch.
We would like to hear from you. What have been some of your best times with our group? Do you remember a funny incident you would like to share? Who is the most interesting new member you have been introduced to? Let us start a new tradition of staying in touch. Necessity is the mother of invention, so let us get our thinking caps on and invent some new ideas.
As we continue to the fall hopefully we will be able to look ahead to a small gathering. Possibly a luncheon and general gathering in a central location. Keep your thinking caps on!
Please remember to look ahead to the fall calendar of events as there may still be some Newmar events taking place that would interest you. Keep in touch with the Kountry Klub updates via The Happenings or check out the website for the latest information.
Mark your calendars now for next year’s International in Lewisburg, West Virginia, July 17-24/21.
Until next time,
