SUMMARY:West Virginia Three Festivals in One Weekend State Rally
DESCRIPTION:The Almost Heaven West Virginia State Rally will be held on Labor Day weekend at Cousin Eddie’s RV Park\, nestled on a working farm with gorgeous pastoral views. The RV Park includes full hookups and good WiFi. Please arrive by 4:00 pm Thursday. \nYour festival experience will begin with a traditional WV Ramp Dinner\, including cornbread\, beans\, ramps\, fried potatoes\, and pork\, Thursday evening at the rally hosts’ home. Bring your swim suits and prepare for a fun-filled evening of food\, games and FABULOUS prizes. \nThe festival extravaganza features the 45th Annual Italian Heritage Festival\, the 50th Annual Jackson’s Mill Jubilee and the 44th Annual Jane Lew Fireman’s Arts and Crafts Festival. The Italian Heritage Festival has worldwide participation and features parades\, a coronation\, music\, free entertainment\, and the best Italian food you will ever eat. The Jackson’s Mill Jubilee\, on the grounds of State of WV 4-H Camp and Stonewall Jackson’s boyhood home\, also features many musical groups including Bluegrass and traditional Appalachian music. The historic part of the mill is open with a blacksmith shop\, grist mill\, and log cabins. Over 200 artists display and sell their juried artwork. The Jane Lew Fireman’s Arts and Craft Festival also has over 200 vendors with unique and one-of-a-kind items. \nAlso in the area are the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum\, the largest hand cut stone building in the western hemisphere; the Mountaineer Military Museum; The Museum of American Glass in West Virginia; ​Appalachian Glass featuring glass blowing demonstrations and hand blown products; Lambert’s Winery; and Mann Cave Distillery. \nWe will also provide an onsite pizza dinner from a wood fired pizza oven. \nThis low cost rally will enable you to see\, taste\, and smell the wonderful traditions of West Virginia without breaking the bank.
