DESCRIPTION:Rifrafters Campground will only hold sites for us until March 31\, 2026. Reservations will be accepted until July 1st\, but there are not guarantees of spaces after March 31st. Make your own reservations and mention the WV Newmar Kountry Klub. Sites are limited! We will travel to Beckley to tour the Exhibition Coal Mine. On the way back we will visit Tamarack which contains juried WV arts and crafts and a very good restaurant. We will also tour the Summit Bechtel Reserve which is the permanent 10\,000 acre site of the National Scout Jamboree. It is the new scout high adventure camp. Beth will be hosting her yearly WV style ramp dinner. Optional activities include the 3\,000 foot Zipline plus other shorter zips\, a canopy tour and white water rafting down the New River Gorge. You can also Visit the abandoned ghost coal town of Thurmond. There are several thrift shops and good restaurants in the area. The fee includes the coal mine tour\, lunch at the Scout Camp and the ramp dinner.
