We currently have over 460 units registered and ready to hit the road to Lewisburg, West Virginia for the 35th International Rally at the State Fairgrounds. The rally dates will be July 17-24 with parking on July 16 & 17. Lewisburg is a beautiful scenic area with a lot of history to this little town and surrounding area.
A few things to remember: many of the sites will require additional electric cords, water hoses and sewer connections. Some water hookups are shared and NOT designated for one unit. Remember to bring an extra water hose (25′ should be sufficient) and “Y” so you can take water on as needed. Also don’t forget to bring a 50 or 30 AMP extension cord (25′ should be sufficient). With the beautiful “rolling hills” of West Virginia comes some sites that may need a few pieces of blocking material to level your unit.
During the rally there will be much to learn at the daily seminars. You’ll want to visit the Vendors, Klub Store, Newmar Parts Dept., Newmar Suppliers and view the new 2022 Newmar display units. As always Newmar service technicians will be there to take care of our units! We will also have several evenings of great entertainment, five delicious catered meals and regional social get-togethers to enjoy, an optional golf tournament, pet contest, craft classes, craft contest and much, much more!
Are you are you a Right Turn or a Left Turn? Very Important Notice
There is a one way highway dividing the fairgrounds so we have both 50 FHU and 30 FHU on both sides of the road. To avoiding crossing the highway multiple times you have been assigned as either a right or left turn to enter the fairgrounds.
Within a couple weeks of registering you would have received your rally packet by mail. Included in the packet would be your confirmation, color coded parking card indicating date/time frame for arrival and level of parking (to be displayed in your windshield upon arrival), service request form (to be completed and returned to the service dept) and your directions/general information page. Please review the direction page indicating your direction of turning.
If you are boondocking you will ONLY do a right turn. In staging they will separate the right and left turns for parking the next morning.
If you misplaced or did not receive your confirmation packet please contact us as soon as possible to mail out a replacement packet.

We start with Rarely Herd for our Saturday night kickoff entertainment. They are an American bluegrass band from Athens County, Ohio playing progressive and traditional bluegrass as well as their own unique compositions and adaptations from other genres including country and gospel.

Also, they have performed throughout Canada as part of the Bluegrass Concert Series organized by the Northern Bluegrass Committee. They have won over 120 National, International and Regional awards and nominations.
Then on Tuesday night get ready for Dwight Icenhouser as “Elvis”. Dwight is considered to be one of the best Elvis Tribute Artists in the world today. He has mastered the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s eras of Elvis’ career and has won a myriad of national Elvis awards.
Dwight Icenhower is recognized not only for his great personality on and off stage, but also for his amazing voice that has sometimes even been mistaken for Elvis Presley himself! He has performed with many of the original musicians who have worked with Elvis including: He has taken home over 75 “First Place” awards in contests from all over the world. In August 2016 Dwight’s dreams came true when he won the ELVIS Presley Enterprises Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest.
Spartan RV Chassis will be sponsoring our final night of entertainment. Sassafras is based in the Foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, and have been performing together for over 20 years. Sassafras pays homage to the Bill Monroe and Flatt & Scruggs era, but also enjoys progressive Newgrass music as well. Their repertoire includes a range of musical styles including ole-time, country, folk, western swing and originals.
Sassafras has shared the stage and/or studio with a wide range of prominent bluegrass and Americana artists.
Caring and Sharing Projects for 2021
This year we have chosen two different charities for our members to support in the Lewisburg area during the rally. Both of these groups work with children which is a cause that is near and dear to all our hearts.
First will be the Children’s Home Society of West Virginia. They started helping children that came to the area on the orphan train 125 years ago. Now they have many programs statewide including 15 different sites.
At the Lewisburg site they have foster care and adoption programs in which they license homes for local families who wish to foster or adopt children. Other programs include a “WE CAN” mentoring program, a “Healthy Grandfamilies” program and a Community Closet to help anyone in the community in need.
The site has a shelter program, Greenbrier Valley Children’s Home, about 20 minutes away from Lewisburg; for up to 14 children ages 8-18. Below is a list of items they could use at the shelter.
- Twin size bed sheets and blankets
- Bed pillows
- Bath towels and wash clothes
- Luggage and duffle bags
- New play equipment for their outside playground
If you prefer you can make a cash donation. You can also make a tax deductible donation by check made out to Children’s Home Society or CHS. Their website is childhswv.org.
Secondly we will be working in conjunction with local First Responders thru the West Virginia State Police, Greenbrier County EMS and Sheriff Department, and the Fairlea Fire Department. They are asking for new stuffed animals that they will give out to children in need/distress on their calls. Please supply each new stuffed animal that will fit in a gallon size zip bag.
