RV Driving School at International Rally
The RV Driving School will once again be attending our International Rally. They will be offering “one on one over the road” driving instruction before, during, and after the rally. They also will be conducting several seminars on techniques for safely driving your RV and will conduct a safe driving demo addressing issues such as backing, turning, and swing out. They are anticipating sending two instructors this year to handle the increased demand. Watch for further details in the next Happenings on how to register for the driving courses.
Camp Freightliner to be Offered to our International Rally Attendees
Once again Freightliner will be offering their Camp Freightliner classes in conjunction with our International Rally. This is a comprehensive and captivating two-day training session to learn more about the benefits of driving a motorhome built on an FCCC chassis. Topics include the air brake system, electrical system, maintenance intervals, weight distribution and vehicle storage, plus much more. This is not a hands-on workshop, but we will spend time at a bare chassis, allowing you to become more familiar with the features.
The training starts at 8:00 a.m. each day, all training materials; lunch both days of class and dinner on the first evening of class is included in the class cost of $245. If your co-pilot wants to attend, the total cost of the class for both parties will be $295. Class size is limited and will be filled on a first registration basis. When you register, please let us know if one or two people are attending. You will receive a confirmation either by mail or email.
There will be two options of classes offered before the rally begins. Tuesday & Wednesday, September 24 & 25 or Thursday & Friday, September 26 & 27 with a total of 24 people per class. You will need to arrive at the rally location the day before your class begin.
You can register online at Camp Freightliner. Payment is not accepted at time of class, we gladly accept Master Card, Visa, Discover or Check. We do NOT accept cash payments. Questions? Please contact Jaimee Jenkins at Jaimee.Jenkins@Daimler.com or 864-206-8607.
