“You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough” ~ Mae West
We know how to have fun don’t we? Seeing new things, exploring new areas, meeting new friends – all part of the RVing lifestyle. We are fortunate to be members of an organization that affords us many opportunities in the way of meetups, rallies and caravans to do just that. The Newmar Kountry Klub calendar is chock full of events and there’s sure to be a few that will be of special interest to everyone. Speaking of special events – recently, we visited the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, New York the site of the 2019 Newmar Kountry Klub International Rally to look over the location of the rally and boy are we excited. This will be the 5th International Rally that we will attend, and it is shaping up to be the best one yet. The facilities at the New York Fairgrounds are top notch. There should be plenty of room at the beautiful new Expo Center for Newmar RV units and vendor’s displays, meals, entertainment and of course, the Fulltimers’ popcorn and lemonade stand. Seminars will be held in a separate historic building. The Fulltimers Chapter will be presenting a series of multi-day seminars and a roundtable at the International Rally entitled “Life on the Road”. If you are attending the rally, look for the schedule in the rally program guide and on Grupio.
From there we headed northeast and met with the personnel at Swan Bay Resort in Alexandria Bay, New York planning tours and activities for our own Fall Fulltimers Rally and Business Meeting to be held there September 22-27. Chapter Vice Presidents, David & Judy Steverson, joined us in exploring the area. We appreciate their advice, suggestions and friendship as we take on the task of keeping 120 Fulltimers happy, fed and entertained for 5 days. We were impressed at the beauty of the 1000 Islands area and found plenty to keep us busy. The rally is really taking shape with tours, meals and activities. Again this year, we hope to leave a positive impact in the neighborhood and are taking on a charitable cause in the local community. Chapter members will be notified via email with details of how to contribute.
We will spend the next few months exploring New England, plotting and planning for the rallies. We hope to meet fellow Newmar Kountry Klub members as we make our way around the Northeast. Tom is going to do his best to drain the ocean of lobster when we get to Maine.
As always, if you have suggestions, comments, or just want to say, “Hi” – email us at email@example.com. And, if you’re in New England this summer – drop us a line, we’d love to meet up.
