The Fulltimers Chapter was well represented at the Newmar Kountry Klub’s special event at the 2022 Tampa Supershow at the Florida State Fairgrounds with 28 member coaches in attendance. The Fulltimers social on Friday afternoon in the big Newmar tent hosted 70 people. We want to thank everyone that attended. Ron & Wanda Llewellyn and Linda Feece dropped in and addressed the crowd.
We personally did not attend the showgrounds and hung out at the camping area, and in the process probably saved a bunch of money. We had our Oasis and Blue Ox units serviced and enjoyed the company of our fellow Newmar owners. One afternoon, our vice president Hal & Lynn Fryer took us to the Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City for a yummy lunch We highly recommend a trip if you are in the area.
Registration for the NKK Fulltimers Rally and Annual Business Meeting exceeded all expectations as we had 40 requests for registration in the first 4 minutes. By noon, all 60 spots had been spoken for, but we are maintaining a waitlist. Contact us if you are interested in having your name added to the list. The rally will be at the beautiful Mountain Valley RV Resort in Heber City, Utah the week before International July 10-15. We are planning a dinner and railroad excursion through the valley and a visit to an Artisan Cheese company for a tour and tastings among other activities.
The Annual Business Meeting will be held Monday, July 11, at 10:00 AM at the Wasatch Senior Center a mile and a half from the campground. All members in good standing with the NKK and the Fulltimers Chapter are invited to attend. Election of officers will take place.
We are pleased to announce that this year’s humanitarian cause will be the Wasatch Community Foundation. The five pillars of the foundation are Health, Education, Recreation, Arts and Human Services – advancing and improving the lives of residents of Wasatch County. The Fulltimers Chapter takes pride in its long-standing history of leaving the areas we visit benefiting from our presence there.
We will have 45 coaches caravanning to the International Rally in Rock Springs. Once again this year at International, the Fulltimers Chapter will be hosting the ever popular lemonade and popcorn station. We are planning to present several informational seminars to share our collective knowledge. Impromptu get-togethers and a chapter social will also take place.
A Newmar Owners’ Luncheon took place at Mt Olive Shores North in Polk City, Florida on February 17th at 1 PM. This event was open to all Newmar owners, NKK members or not, and burgers and dogs were provided by the Fulltimers Chapter. A special thank you goes to Independence RV in Winter Haven for sponsoring the event and providing door prizes. We had 80 people in attendance including our Vice president Hal & Lynn Fryer and Secretary Tom & Barbara Palmer.
We have had a few questions regarding our cancellation policy for rallies. The standard NKK cancellation policy for regions, states/provinces will also apply to the Fulltimers Chapter Rallies. You can find that printed elsewhere in the Legacy.
