We have made so many good friends through the Kountry Klub. Membership in the Klub is a great way to meet friendly people. By the time you are reading this, our rallies will have been held and in the record books. At this point, we are looking forward to an active, entertaining rally and meeting up with friends old and new. We are certain our generous and enthusiastic chapter has made a significant impact in the Wytheville area supporting our charitable cause HOPE, Inc. And, equally sure the International Rally in Lewisburg, WV was a huge success.
We recently spent quite a bit of time at the Newmar Service Center in Nappanee, Indiana. Due to an encounter with the Indiana Department of Transportation mowing crew, we experienced over 100 areas of rock damage to the front and passenger side of our Ventana. The techs at Newmar did a great job fixing the damage and our rig looks like new. We really appreciated the professionalism and concern of the service department and enjoyed the nice customer lounge to wait out the repairs. We also were able to have a brief visit with International Directors Ron & Wanda Llewellyn and Linda and DeAnn at the NKK office. And who should pull in next to us at the campground, but former president and current Members-at-Large Evan & Debbie Hughes who were dropping their rig off for service.
We are excited to announce that we are adding an additional rally to the schedule this year and putting together plans for a Holly Jolly Rally to be held at the beautiful Creekside RV Resort in Punta Gorda, Florida December 5-9. Our co-hosts will be Chapter Vice President Hal & Lynn Fryer for this event. We have 30 sites reserved – all 50 amp Full Hookup. Tentative plans are for attendees to kick off the holiday season with a Harbor Cruise to view holiday lights and a Swamp Buggy Eco Tour, in addition to meals and activities at the campground. Requests for Registrations began June 14, 2021 through the NKK Website Calendar of Events.
2022 Fulltimers Rally and Annual Business Meeting
The Rally will be held in Heber City, Utah July 10-15, 2022 before the International Rally Rock Springs, Wyoming. We have reserved 60 sites and registrations will take place through the NKK Website in February 2022. The rally will be held at Mountain Valley RV Resort.
We have had quite a few new members in the past few months and wish to welcome them to the chapter. Remember to take advantage of our closed members-only Facebook group and be on the lookout for our Traveling Times newsletter delivered quarterly to your inbox. Make certain you proudly display the “F” preceding your NKK number on your rig. And remember to add the Chapter 26 Fulltimers bars to your NKK lanyard. When you attend your first Fulltimers Rally and Annual Business meeting, you will receive the highly coveted pop-top lanyard.
