SUMMARY:Grand Circle Caravan - Special Event
DESCRIPTION:Come join us as we explore the Grand Circle\, the special event which checks so many boxes on your bucket list. We will begin in beautiful Moab\, Utah\, to tour Arches National Park\, Canyonlands National Park\, and Dead Horse State Park. While in Moab\, we’ll experience the Colorado River canyon by night\, and a thrilling jet boat ride on the river in the daylight. In Torrey\, Utah\, you’ll have time to explore and hike Capitol Reef National Park. We’ll travel some of Utah’s most picturesque byways as we move to Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks. In St. George\, we will treat ourselves to a wonderful outdoor production surrounded by red rocks at the renown Tuacahn Amphitheatre. \nFrom there\, we are off to Jacob Lake Recreation area where we’ll dry camp for one night so that we can visit the astonishing North Rim of the Grand Canyon. On to Page\, Arizona\, for a raft trip down the Colorado River to view Horseshoe Bend\, then we’ll visit the mysteriously beautiful Antelope Slot Canyon. On the South Rim of the Grand Canyon\, we will enjoy docent led bus tours with time to explore and hike the South Rim. Flagstaff is the next stop to enjoy a dinner show\, and the red rocks of Sedona. A guided open air 4-wheel tour through Monument Valley is next\, followed by a free day to explore and hike the mystical Mesa Verde National Park. We’ll conclude our caravan with a ride on the famous Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. SUMMARY:New Mexico State Rally/Pueblo History Tour
DESCRIPTION:The theme of our rally is “A Tour through Pueblo Culture\, Then and Now.” This will be a two-stop\, seven (7) night immersive experience focused on the indigenous Pueblo culture and history of New Mexico and the four corners area. \nWe will visit the Pueblo Cultural Center\, attend the Sky City Feast Day\, tour Mesa Verde\, and more. Highlights include historical and cultural site visits\, expert speakers as well as cultural experiences. DESCRIPTION:The Almost Heaven West Virginia State Rally will be held on Labor Day weekend at Cousin Eddie’s RV Park\, nestled on a working farm with gorgeous pastoral views. The RV Park includes full hookups and good WiFi. Please arrive by 4:00 pm Thursday. \nYour festival experience will begin with a traditional WV Ramp Dinner\, including cornbread\, beans\, ramps\, fried potatoes\, and pork\, Thursday evening at the rally hosts’ home. Bring your swim suits and prepare for a fun-filled evening of food\, games and FABULOUS prizes. \nThe festival extravaganza features the 45th Annual Italian Heritage Festival\, the 50th Annual Jackson’s Mill Jubilee and the 44th Annual Jane Lew Fireman’s Arts and Crafts Festival. The Italian Heritage Festival has worldwide participation and features parades\, a coronation\, music\, free entertainment\, and the best Italian food you will ever eat. The Jackson’s Mill Jubilee\, on the grounds of State of WV 4-H Camp and Stonewall Jackson’s boyhood home\, also features many musical groups including Bluegrass and traditional Appalachian music. SUMMARY:VA Wheels/NC Tarheel Kountry Klub/SC Palmetto Pals Joint Mayberry Chapter Rally
DESCRIPTION:To offer this exciting Rally location for those who were unable to attend in 2023\, we will be hosting a 2024 Mayberry/Mt Airy Rally. We have added one new restaurant in our meal planning. We have also selected restaurants where attendees can eat a breakfast of their choice at a time of their choice on a specific morning (as long as it’s before noon) since this was such a big hit in our 2023 rally. You can expect to visit the Andy Griffith Museum and the Museum of Regional History at any time at your convenience during a three-day period. You will be able to compete in a mini-golf tournament at your leisure during the three-day period. Winners will be determined on the final evening of the rally and prizes will be awarded. Of course\, there will be other opportunities for prizes at social hours for the winners of various trivia games. Prizes include free lunches at Snappy Lunch\, a popular local restaurant featured on the Andy Griffith show. We had several surprise appearances by local celebrities in July and expect to continue this treat. \nUnfortunately\, rising prices mean we will have to raise the rally fee to $130 per person. This year we had planned for 20 coaches and\, eventually\, all 15 standbys were able to be included. (Three had to withdraw days before the event due to life events.) We are planning for 25 coaches this time\, but if you find out that the rally is full\, don’t be discouraged; sign up on our standby list maintained by Deane and Charlie or Gayle and Carl. We will do everything we can to make sure you can attend. \nAfter registering please call Mayberry Campground and make a reservation for the event. Everyone who made a reservation this year was able to attend the rally. So\, if you missed out on the July 2023 rally opportunity\, or you’d just like to go again\, don’t hesitate to sign up for this one. DESCRIPTION:Make your campground reservations online – we are in block 2. Note that you are part of the Newmar Kountry Klub and they will keep the group together. Sites include 50amp power. Sites are large back in. Water and sewer dump onsite. \nWe plan on visiting the MN Forest History Center and plan on a horse drawn trolley tour\, then a visit to the historic central school and walk through of the shops there. Then if time allows a trip to the Judy Garland museum followed by a dinner out. \nWe will also visit the heart of the Iron Range in Hibbing\, stopping at Mineview in the Sky\, Tour the Greyhound Bus Museum and the Minnesota Museum of Mining in Chisholm. \nAdmittance tickets to events/tours will be paid by attendee as well as dining out. It is a small town on the Western Slope of CO that is rich in agriculture with over 30 wineries\, vineyards and fruit orchards. Basecamp has full hookups and is close to town. The cost of the campground\, for the 3 nights\, is $220.74 for a deluxe back in site and $252.60 for a premium pull-thru. Full payment is made at the time of booking your reservation.
