If you’d like to be added to the waitlist please contact the event host. \nWe hope you are making plans to join us for the 2nd annual Kentucky Derby Festival Rally being held May 13-17\, 2026 at Bourbon Springs RV Resort in Elizabethtown\, KY. We have an exciting “Kentucky Bourbon Trail” themed rally planned and hope you will make plans to attend. \nPlease note: we have made special arrangements for you to personally hand dip your own take home souvenir bottle of Makers Mark into the iconic Makers Mark red wax. See Thursday’s agenda below. \nDue to the popularity of the 2025 rally\, we fully expect the 2026 rally to fill up quickly. Bourbon Springs RV Resort will honor the following prices for the entire week of the rally\, so come a few days early or stay a few days afterwards. We have 40 pull through campsites: $76.50/night\, and 40 back in campsites for $67.50/night. DESCRIPTION:Three breakfasts are included and one “potluck” dinner. Host provides meat and beverage for dinner with each couple bringing side dish. Enclosed yurt has air conditioning\, microwave\, refrigerator and tables and chairs for meals/games. Sites are 50 amp\, full hook ups\, 75′ to 110′ long. Each site has fire ring and picnic table. \nNightly rate is $71 plus 7% tax and one time $5 booking fee (15%discount off $83 nightly rate). One nigh deposit is required. There are so many things to do and see in this area\, it was hard to choose just a couple for the rally. This campground does not accept reservations until after December 1\, 2024. We are planning a Guided Tour of part of Hocking Hills State Park. The guided tour will be a 1 mile long hike with many stops while the guide provides information on the things we will see on the trail. It is a trail hike\, so wear sturdy shoes for solid footing and comfortable walking. DESCRIPTION:We are taking a page from our Florida friends and having a meet and eat event. This is strictly DUTCH TREAT and no camping is involved unless you choose to. This restaurant is known for it’s beers\, but the food is extremely good and they have many other beverage choices. We are not reserving a space here as we propose showing up at 3:30 on September 19\, 2024 should find plenty of available areas to gather around. SUMMARY:Kentucky Thoroughbreds Chapter Rally in the Gorge
DESCRIPTION:Red River Gorge spans 29\,000 acres in east-central Kentucky and boasts an intricate canyon system of cliffs\, natural bridges\, rock shelters and an abundance of waterfalls. We will hike one of the most popular and picturesque trails in Red River Gorge – Creation Falls via Rock Bridge Trail. It is a 1.4 mile out-and-back trail considered a moderately challenging hike. We will also take the mile-long Sky Lift up to Natural Bridge for a bird’s eye view of the mountain scenery. Once at the top\, we will take a foot path to the lookout point over 75 feet long\, 65 feet high natural bridge formed from 900 tons of sandstone. \nYour rally fee will include welcome bag and welcome dinner Thursday night\, meat for Pot Luck dinner Saturday night\, campfire and S’mores\, sendoff breakfast of Danish and fruit. We will be going to Miguels Pizza for dinner Friday night\, cost on your own\, after our trip to Red River Gorge.  Saturday will be a free day or go back to the Gorge for more exploring. \nContact 4 Guys RV Park for reservations and tell them you are with the Newmar Kountry Klub. Our dates show an arrival of September 5 (Thursday) and departure September 8 (Sunday).
