You can expect to see scenery of unspoiled nature, majestic mountains, glaciers, fjords, crystal clear lakes, waterfalls, and the National Parks. Alaska has some of the world’s most scenic highways like the Seward Highway or Denali Park Road perfect for an unforgettable road trip. We will learn about Alaska’s rich and varied history that includes the Native Indians, Russian fur traders and gold miners. We will post our signs at the Sign Post Forest, a collection of signs at Watson Lake, Yukon. It is one of the most famous landmarks along the Alaska Highway. You will visit Denali National Park where we will admire Mt. McKinley. We will enjoy many meals, local live entertainment, boat tours, pan for gold, socials, and a breathtaking train ride.
Alaska, known as the Last Frontier, is famous for its abundant wildlife. From bears to moose, eagles, bison, caribou, and many more. Alaska provides home to many members of the animal kingdom. Some of them can be found only in this part of the world. We will learn about the famous Iditarod Dog Sled Race.
