The countdown is on for upcoming Alaska Cruise. Our ship, the Celebrity Eclipse, will sail out of Vancouver, B.C. on July 30th, 2023. Step on board and prepare to be pampered for 7 days of great service, food, entertainment – and of course the views! Our trip up through the inside passage will be spectacular and a great place to watch for eagles, bears and marine life. This is a perspective from the water you can’t get from shore.
Our first port will be Icy Straight Point – a great jumping off spot to go whale watching, fishing or visit a nearby glacier up close. Our ship will cruise to Hubbard Glacier, the most active of all the glaciers in Alaska – it “calves” every 15-20 minutes. Its front face is nearly 6 miles wide and over 400’ tall. Passing up through Disenchantment Bay to the Glacier, the scenery is absolutely spectacular. On a clear day, you can see 17 of the 20 tallest peaks in North America!
Our next stop is the Alaska Capitol city of Juneau. The excursion possibilities from here are many. You can again go whale watching, halibut fishing, take a helicopter flight, take a boat to stunning Tracy Arm Fjord, or visit a Salmon Hatchery. Our last port of call is Ketchikan, home to lumberjack shows, the Ketchikan Trolley and Saxman Native Village and its many totem poles. Take the time to stroll up historic Creek Street, a “boardwalk” along the scenic river with shops and restaurants. For those who have always wanted to visit an Alaska Sled Dog camp, there is an opportunity for that as well.
On Board, we will have some exclusive NKK events and gatherings. We have everything from fun and games to Roundtable Discussions planned. There are several balcony cabin categories for you to choose from, and the Celebrity “Always Included” program means your beverages, gratuities, and wi-fi are already paid for. We return to Vancouver, B.C. with great memories, new friends and having witnessed some of Alaska’s finest scenery.
If you ARE signed up on the cruise but haven’t yet booked your shore excursions, you should think about this soon! We will have to release any unsold shore excursion space in April as well. Many of us are staying at the Pre-Cruise hotel in Vancouver, so plan to arrive early, or stay after the cruise as well.
Click here to access the website and download the cruise flyer, registration form, shore excursions, deck maps and information on the different categories. Note: After April 1st, 2023 our unsold group cabins will be released and you may not be able to sign up.
