June
Hello Everyone, summer is here (well, on the 21st anyway) and the rallies are gearing up. The Cardinal Kountry Klub had their first rally at Pier-Lon Park in Medina. The hosts were Harry & Jo Carroll (7391-L).
The Buckeye Kountry Travelers had their first rally at Lazy River Campground in Grandville. The hosts were Dave & Connie Kosbab(18760) and Flash & Bev Miller (9855).
We missed the first rallies of each Klub as we had made arrangements last year for those 2 weekends. One weekend was Rock Crawlin in the “Buggy” our son built for Phyllis. Had a great time. We didn’t get any pictures to show you of Phyllis looking up at the ground with her tires aimed at the sky. (They’re supposed to be on the ground.) Nobody hurt, just all in a days ride.
At this writing the June Ohio State Rally is coming up and by the time you get this the rally will be over. I’m sure everyone had a good time. I can’t predict the future or I would tell you how it went and I would pick the right lottery numbers.
Upcoming rallies are Cardinal Kountry Klub June 26, 27, 28 at Cutty’s Sunset Park, Louisville OH. This is grandparents weekend and Jerry and Jane Hirschman (9078-L) are hosting. Buckeye Kountry Travelers July rally is 10, 11, 12 at Elsen’s Little Farm on the River. Hosts are Jack & Jill Hayes (14729) and Bob & Janet Grimm (12763-L).
Is your reservation in for the International Rally? This rally is in our backyard, not far to go. If you haven’t been to an International rally, or if you have been before, you’ll enjoy going to the seminars, taking tours, doing crafts, playing games, or playing golf, and most of all meeting great people in the “Klub” from all over the United States & Canada.
Remember the rallies are a social gathering and are planned and offered with the members in mind. Help make them a success by attending. Hope to see you soon.
Happy trails,

May
We are so happy to finally start having campouts this month. May is the start of the Ohio season campouts and we hope you all are planning on attending your Chapter’s campout; or if this letter arrives after your campout, we hope you joined in on the fun and friendship.
We are looking forward to entertaining all of you at our first State Rally the first of June. We have hosted many joint campouts in Ohio, but this has been a little more involved than the old joint campouts. We hope you can come and we promise some surprises.
The end of June promises to bring special times to the Cardinals with their annual Grandparents Rally. What a great time to have all those grandchildren of all ages attending. We heard Mick & Brenda Concoby (17287) topped everyone with 8 grandchildren last year.
The July campout for the Buckeyes is at a favorite place, as we will be camping on the Ohio River at Little Farm, plus we will be going to the all-you-can-eat seafood buffet on Friday night. Crablegs here we come!
Happy Trails,

April
Wow, can you believe in a couple of months we will be camping again with our Newmar friends. We hope you are all enjoying where you have chosen to spend your winter. Jerry and I spent a couple weeks in FL but had to cut our trip a couple days short as Jerry’s father passed away and we needed to return home for the funeral. We would like to thank all those who sent cards and emails; they were much appreciated.
The number one issue of importance right now is the Ohio State Rally. We will be hosting it in Waynesville, Ohio, June 3-7. We will need you to submit your rally reservation form by May 1. The sooner you can do this the better. Remember this is our first attempt and we hope you all will plan to be there. We will be following the aviation trail with some special tours. Check the web site for all the particulars.
We are hoping that you will all join us for the International Rally in Goshen, Indiana in August. For any Ohio unit wanting to travel in a caravan, you must have your registration to us by April 10. If you would like to stay one night before the caravan into Goshen, we have reserved a few sites at Eby’s Pines Campground in Bristol, Indiana, just a few miles from Goshen. You will need to call them at 574-848-4583 and make your reservation by April 1.
Until next time –
Happy Trails,
