The heat is still with us here in Florida so many Sea Turtles are still traveling the roads in their coaches! It appears that it will be with us for a while. The summer was packed with fun as many Sea Turtles headed north to Alaska and had a fabulous trip with beautiful scenery, and many warm friendships were made. Others traveled to North Carolina to get away from the heat and some went as far as Michigan. One couple traveled out west as they had never been there before. A few of us stayed in Florida for the summer as we were having houses built but left in September to travel to the International Rally by way of Carroll’s Sausage and Meats RV Park and Chattanooga, TN. On the way, back from the rally a few Sea Turtles stopped in Branson, MO to enjoy the entertainment there.

Happy Summer! The rains have started here in Florida so many Sea Turtles are out on the road by now! Some of us are headed up the East Coast to visit with friends and family. Others of us are headed out west to enjoy the different scenery out that way. Four couples have joined with other NKK members to travel to Alaska on the caravan. We have enjoyed seeing their pictures when there is internet connection and wish them safe travels. There are some Sea Turtles who will be traveling around Florida this summer to see places they have never toured in their own state. No matter where you are headed we wish you safe travels and look forward to seeing everyone in November at our rally in Orange City, Florida.

The Florida Sea Turtles have finished the rally season in style. In March we went across the state line to spend time at an RV park in Vidalia, Louisiana. There we were able to visit the lovely town of Natchez, Mississippi. The antebellum homes were open for our view and they are magnificent! The food was delicious and we were able to participate in a couple of unique adventures. We toured a working cotton plantation that dated back to the 1800s. Tour guides gave us a taste of what it was like when cotton plantations were abundant during the Civil War.  Then we saw a video of how the cotton plantation is worked in modern times. We also had the opportunity to go to a gospel concert in the town of Natchez. What an exciting time we had!
